Expect the best from the Freeze team, and settle for no less!

Year established?
1999

What do you stock?
Snowboards, skis and all the best bits in between.

What brands do you stock?
Rome, Burton, Analog, Volcom, Oakley, Red, Special Blend, Nixon, Dragon, Anon, Four Square, Nikita, Forum, Helly Hansen, Grenade, Baw Bags, DC, Da Kine, Northwave, Demon, Eleven, Nomis, Planet Earth, Reef, Smart Wool, Superfeet, Technica, Extreme Video, Arcus, Neff

What is the vibe like in your shop?
Friendly; mellow; good times; come hang out; amped (especially when it’s dumping outside)

What is the local shred scene like?
We’re super lucky to have both the Scottish mountains and some killer dryslopes on our doorstep.  Closest is Hillend where the old kicker ‘Betty’ still resides... Just up the road in Glasgow we have her younger sisters at Bearsden and Bellahouston and the Big Fridge at Braehead – all of which are producing some unbelievably talented rippers.  It’s between one hour and three to the Scottish hills, which have been blessed with healthy snow falls the last couple years, and which host some pretty sweet parks and crews of shredders.

What is the worst item you have ever mistakenly ordered?
Johnny Mac’s signature pink fluffy Gilets, which all got sold as presents just before Christmas… and all got returned on Boxing Day.

What is the best and worst thing about your shop?
Best: Hopefully our customers would say our friendly expert staff and our awesome stock of snowboarding gear
Worst: The fact there’s not permanently 6ft of fresh outside with a floodlit superpark for the evenings.

If you had to do it all over again what would you do differently?
Gone faster and cleared the knuckle, and gone back in time to tell our granddad’s granddad, to take better care of the planet so global warming would be a lot less and we’d all have more pow.

Do you run shop trips to the mountains?
Indeed – this winter we’re gonna have busses going from the shop to the Scottish hills when the snow is falling and also run shred trips to Braehead and Bearsden for the freestyle massive.

What’s your view on rocker vs camber?
It’s more of a ‘both’ than an ‘either’ – one works for some shredders and the other for others. It’s all about what ya ride and how ya ride it. We’re fully backing the rocker revolution but alongside, not instead of, regular shred sticks.
