Well, you’ve come to the right place, there are parks galore in the Portes du Soleil region, nine snowparks in total, with boxes, tables, walls, a big air superpipe, raised bends, freestyle airbags and rails. The top spots for freestyle skiers are Avoriaz, Les Crosets and Les Gets.
Avoriaz: Freestylers are well catered for with five parks for all levels. The Arare park is a shoe-in for advanced riders, La Chapelle is for intermediates hungry for thrills, while rookie freestylers should head for Trashers snow park or the new Kids Parkway. The superpipe can be found beautifully sculpted near the top of the Prodains cable car AND the resort is home to The Stash – multiple trails featuring wooden modules in Lindarets forest (this year Avoriaz is opening The Little Stash, exclusively for kids) – 1.3km of jib-tastic fun.
Les Crosets: The Les Crosets Superpark is a freestyler's paradise for big air tricks (beginner can train up on the Micro Park). It’s definitely the best spot for kickers and during the peak season you can expect anything from 10 to 15 kickers of various sizes for everyone from pros to intermediates.
Les Gets: Here you’ll be hanging out with rookie, intermediates and hardcore riders on the sunny slopes of Mont Chéry's freestyle district. It can be a great spot as it’s quieter than other parks in the region (but possibly a little limited for decent freestyle skiers).
