• 2010 Burton New Zealand Open announces dates and location

The Burton New Zealand Snowboard Open (NZO) is pleased to announce that the 2010 event will again be hosted at Cardrona Alpine Resort in the Cardrona Valley of Wanaka NZ from August 10-14, 2010. The event is the first stop of the Burton Global Open Series and also a 5 Star event on the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour.

• Kumi Yama, summer skiing and snowboarding event in Les 2 Alpes, from 2 to 4 July

In Les 2 Alpes we're told they've been skiing on the glacier between 3600M and 2900M for more than 40 years and the Snowpark has been running since 1994, and so, "the resort is a pioneer in Freestyle and it still continues to evolve." The Kumi Yama has become a notorious summer freestyle showdown there, the three-day event adopting an entirely Japanese decoration. Check it out
