We had some good weather so we got on with some kicker building up in Verbier.
Myself, Bungle, Nick and Becky went on a days filming where we all hit a really nice jump. It was big enough to go upside down but not so big that it was scary to try anything new on. We all did some front and back flips and Becky jumped off one of the nearby cliffs. In the same area I found a big rock to build a jump up onto with a landing on the other side. It only took about an hour to build and we hit it the same day. It was a bit sketchy but worked out fine. Nick doesn't like building kickers much. I don't think he really likes manual labour, so he went and skied some nice lines up above where we were building. He did a couple of good drops in there and we got it on film.

The Boss De Bosses competition over in Chamonix is a bumps comp between several ski resorts. Verbier went over and took five coaches full of fans. I was lucky enough to be asked to ski on the Verbier team and really enjoyed it. We finished in third place behind Zermatt and the winners, Chamonix. However we did win the best dressed team and the most fans which I think is better than winning the actual comp. I didn't really have an outfit to wear but when we arrived I was handed a skin-tight yellow gimp suit. This accompanied with a big blonde wig made me look like some alien / transvestite and it was quite difficult to see where I was going let alone ski down the bumps. I can't wait for next year's event already. If the weather is good like this year it's probably the most fun event of the winter.
After the Boss De Bosses it was the Brits week over in Laax. Unfortunately the dates with the Brits clashed with the dates for the Ellis Brigham photo shoot over in Steamboat so I couldn't make it to the Brits. Colorado hadn't had a very good winter and was lacking in both snow and sun when we arrived – so not really the best conditions for a photo shoot. Luckily we timed it right and during the week we had a mixture of snow and sun and hopefully got some great shots to make a good catalogue for next winter. One of the Ellis Brigham staff, Mark, brought a headcam to make a little online movie. We got some good stuff with it and I got some footage for myself too. I think it will be up on the Ellis Brigham facebook page so become a fan and check it out.
Back in Verbier now we have all the end of season party's to look forward to as well as the front 9 competition. The front 9 is a really low key good fun competition where a selected few skiers compete on nine small faces around Verber. It is set to be on the 11th of April so I will keep you posted on how it goes.
Cheers, Andy
Over the last couple of weeks...
We have had a few pretty good days here in Verbier lately
Suprisingly the best turns we had were over at a place called "highway"
